Looe Taxis has been established for as long as I can remember which must be at least 40 years. It has belonged to Sue and Alan Stevens for the last 16 years; Alan already ran Alan’s taxis based in Looe & had been a cabby for several years, so with his experience and the help of the drivers that already worked for Looe Taxis we became the biggest firm in Looe but gone are the days when we can do that, so we have now scaled down to 3 four seater taxis.

One taxi works every day between school contracts, Alan works most Friday & Saturday evenings throughout the year, summer time both Sue & Alan try to be around in the evenings working from the rank which is on the East side of Looe opposite the doctors surgery. Are phones are switched on, but if we don’t answer them it’s because we are busy, but you’ll see us working the rank.

We don’t work Sundays throughout the from October to May..
Our taxis have mobile phones and cctv/dash cameras. Our vehicles undergo 2 MOT per year this makes sure that our taxis are well maintained; we are covered by a 24 hour national breakdown service and have liability insurance. Throughout the year we work with the local council carrying out school contract’s this keeps us busy & out of mischief.

We all hold the NVQ level 3, Cornwall County’s contract compliance, customer care & safeguarding training, have valid police checks and regular medicals depending on our age.

We are doggie friendly, we carry them & you run behind. All jokes aside, please phone ahead and we will send you the correct vehicle for the size of dog.
